A Tomoe crest tsuba and a black piano-lacquered saya with a genuine buffalo horn ring at the mouth give this katana a clean, traditional face. The blade is hand-forged 1080 high carbon steel, oil quench hardened and hand sharpened, set in a long 14.5\" handle. It arrives sharp with a certificate of authenticity, ready for cutting practice or a place on the wall.

  Suited to light cutting practice such as rolled tatami omote, soft mats and water-filled bottles, where permitted by local law. Not intended for hard targets such as metal, stone or seasoned hardwood. The blade can rust if left wet: wipe it dry after handling and apply a light coat of sword oil before storing.
