Incredible stoneware platter from the mid-19th century. According to Godden\'s \"Encyclopedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks\", the maker most likely is Ridgway, although the book\'s marks are not clear enough to confirm 100%. While there is crazing and some cracking of the glaze, there are no chips or cracks in the stoneware.
The smaller latter is 8\' x 10\' and an amazing 170+ year old survivor!
