This is a very unusual Victorian bubble glass hanging framed plaque. It has a nice convex glass front encased in a brass frame with a tin back. Inside, there is a pressed paper image depicting a religious scene, with small flowers on either side. The border is embellished with gold metallic thread. This piece likely dates back to the early 1800s, probably no later than the 1830s. It measures 2-5/8\" tall x 2\" wide x 5/8\" thick and is in excellent condition.* * * * * * * * *
