Listed for sale is a signed copy of the book, The Authorized Narrative of The First World Flight signed by three members of this historic 1924 flight. The book was released in 1927 and is inscribed on the opening pages by Lt. Erik H. Nelson, Lt. Leigh Wade, and Lt. Henry H. Ogden. The book is also signed by noted author of the period Lowell Thomas. The book is a hardcover, 6 x9 with 328 pages. The books paper cover has wear and tear, the hard cover is in very good condition with minimum wear. The inner pages are in very good condition with expected toning. The 1924 flight was the first aerial circumnavigation of the world, flown by four Douglas World Cruiser biplanes which were each named after a U.S city representing a compass point. The planes were named the Seattle, Chicago, Boston and NewOrleans. The flight took place on April6, 1924, and lasted 175 days. The autographs are authentic, signed on a desirable format and a great example of these prominent aviation pioneers and members of this historic flight.
