1928 Texas A&M “Longhorn” Yearbook – Featuring Artwork by Gilbert Allen Geist
Original 1928 Texas A&M College “Longhorn” annual, documenting Aggie student life, athletics, and Corps of Cadets traditions at the close of the 1920s. This edition is especially notable for its illustrations and chapter artwork by Gilbert Allen Geist, who also contributed to the 1927 Longhorn. His work gives this volume a distinctive artistic flair that sets it apart from standard yearbooks of the period.
Original 1928 publication – embossed military crest cover, reflecting the Corps of Cadets identity.Artwork by Gilbert Allen Geist – full-page chapter dividers and student-life cartoons, more polished than his 1927 contributions.Clubs & organizations – student societies, hometown clubs, Aggie Band, and Yell Leaders.Campus & local history – vintage photographs of A&M’s academic buildings and Bryan–College Station advertising.Very Good. Binding solid and square, cover clean with only light shelf wear. Pages are bright and intact, with no apparent folds, wrinkles, or tears. No writing or inscriptions were found on inspection (though not every page has been individually checked). A well-preserved copy of this nearly century-old annual.
