Original 1876 State of Indiana First National Bank Draft / Check
Offered is an attractive original 19th-century banking document dated April 22, 1876, approximately 150 years old.
The draft is numbered 22373 and written for $49.90. It features an ornate First National Bank design with a large central United States Internal Revenue imprinted revenue design and portrait vignette.
The document was payable through Importers & Traders National Bank, New York and was printed by Continental Bank Note Co., New York.
The reverse contains multiple period endorsements and bank processing markings, including a large Bank of North America – PAID stamp, adding considerable historical character.
Condition: Very attractive circulated condition for its age. Original handwriting, endorsements, bank stamps and normal handling/processing wear are present. Borders and engraving remain particularly strong. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description.
