Offered for sale is an original c.1910 Cornell University tobacco leather / cigarette premium, featuring the Cornell name and historic university seal embossed directly into the leather.
Unlike some examples that feature contrasting printed or gilt decoration, this variation has a tone-on-tone embossed design, with “CORNELL” above the detailed university shield.
These small collegiate leather pieces were produced during the early 20th century as collectible tobacco/cigarette premiums and featured colleges and universities from throughout the country.

Condition: Good antique condition considering its age. The red leather retains good color and the Cornell lettering and shield remain clearly visible. There is normal surface wear, color variation, minor edge wear and other age-related imperfections. A small nick/irregularity is visible along the bottom edge.
No cleaning or restoration has been attempted.
