DAN QUAM was a Zuni Master Carver.
He passed along his skills to the other up and coming fetish carvers.
Dan had grown his skills set from a single-entity-fetish to that of a multi-image miniature sculpture.
Here we have an Native Chief in a headdress on the bottom, with an Eagle on-top facing the same direction, and a wildcat at the back of the eagle facing the other way - all with Turquoise inset eyes.
Unfortunately, the left ear of the wildcat has been chipped off - there is a lot going on with this carving, so you need to look to see it.
