WWII Bulgarian Brannik Youth Organization Dagger Knife Excellent
Here is for the sale Extremely Rare a Bulgarian WWII Youth scout dagger known as “Brannik” with a scabbard.
The Bulgarian youth organization, the Brannik (Defenders) was established in January 1941. It was undoubtedly patterned after German youth organization. The dagger, or more correctly a knife, in the form of a short non-functional dress bayonet is almost identical to German youth knife.
The dagger knife is in VERY RARE perfect authentic condition.
There is a maker mark ROBERT KLAAS SOLINGEN on the blade. On the other side of the blade is a motto of the organization “DUTY and HONOR” in Cyrillic letters. The metal scabbard is originally painted black. The hanger is made of leather, there is a button for suspending the dagger.
The obverse grip plates center has the Brannik emblem, a Cyrillic B for Brannik in a bordered shield. Leather hanger and a washer are excellent.
Blade is 4-1/2” long, the full length of the dagger is 8-1/4”.
