Up for sale is an incredibly rare, historically significant, and fully documented World War 2 battlefield trench art signet ring from the historic Battle of Iwo Jima (February–March 1945). This artifact belonged to U.S. Navy Sailor Marvin B. Meredith of Marion, Indiana.

THE HISTORY & PROVENANCE:
Unlike most anonymous pieces of wartime trench art, this ring features absolute, bulletproof provenance. The hand-engraved initials \"M.B.M.\" on the flat signet face match Marvin B. Meredith\'s official service records and family ID bracelet perfectly, proving its undeniable historical authenticity. Marvin B. Meredith was born and raised in Marion, Indiana. He answered the call to serve in the United States Navy during World War 2, deploying to the Pacific Theater. He was stationed either on-island or aboard a naval support vessel directly offshore during the brutal campaign for Iwo Jima. After returning home to Indiana, he worked for decades as an RCA machine attendant—a career that perfectly reflects the incredible mechanical precision and hand-filing skills seen in this ring. He passed away in 1998, leaving behind this remarkable footprint of American history.
