Up for sale is a beautiful, complete vintage set of 4 Southwestern ceramic art tile coasters complete with their original solid wood caddy holder. This unique set brings together two iconic names from the late-20th-century desert artisan tile boom: Desert Dreams Studio and Masterworks Handcrafted Art Tiles.
About the Artwork & Design:
Artist: Designed by Peter Ingrassia for Desert Dreams Studio out of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Pattern: Features the highly sought-after "Hot Peppers" / Chili Pepper Wreath design. Each tile has been individually hand-glazed by a Southwestern craftsman, giving the red peppers a striking dimensional texture and a beautiful glossy sheen.
The Caddy Holder: The solid oak corner-peg holder was crafted by Masterworks Handcrafted Art Tiles out of Tucson, Arizona. Their original studio label remains securely affixed to the bottom, detailing that their tiles were traditionally fired at a glowing 1850°F for extreme durability
