Add the perfect touch of retro atomic kitsch to your space with this authentic pair of Mid-Century Modern Comedy and Tragedy theater mask wall panels. Dating back to the 1960s, these handmade mosaic panels are quintessential examples of the popular DIY pebble craft kits of the era.
Each long panel features a classic Greek drama mask paired with a stringed instrument like a lute or mandolin, intricately detailed with vibrant textured crushed gravel, colored pebbles, and raised yarn-bordered outlines over a textured canvas background.
• Era: 1960s Mid-Century Modern
• Subject: Theatrical Drama Masks (Thalia Comedy with grapes and lute, Melpomene Tragedy with mandolin)

• Quantity: Complete matching set of two panels
• Dimensions: Approx. 24 inches High by 8.25 inches Wide for each panel

Beautiful vintage condition overall. The panels are clean, structurally stable, and the colorful gravel artwork remains entirely intact with no notable stone loss. The textured background shows a few small, faint light-brown age spots or foxing near the upper leaf sections, consistent with pieces of this age. The original natural wood frames have some light scuffs along the outer side edges but remain sturdy. Wires are securely attached on the back.
