This complete 12-piece lot of vintage 1950s Shiny Brite circus and nursery stenciled glass ornaments features an elite collection of lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, teddy bears, and nursery rhyme motifs housed in an authentic 1940s Uncle Sam "American Made" green box. The original cardboard box lid and bottom tray are structurally intact but display a fair amount of age-appropriate wear, including old clear tape repairs, stabilization texturing, and minor split reinforcement on all four corners of the lid flap, as well as some light edge scuffing and historic pencil marks on the cardboard side panels. The glass ornaments retain a gorgeous glossy lacquer finish; the magenta, teal, blue, and carousel-red bulbs are exceptionally crisp, while the green and orange bulbs show a beautiful, authentic patina with classic minor paint flaking, light surface scuffs, and expected areas of silvering loss. All glass necks are structurally sound, and all original crinkled aluminum caps are firmly seated. Crucially, this set features a spectacular, highly collectible centerpiece: a yellow circus lion ornament with a verified factory printing error (inverted/upside-down stencil). Quality control lines rarely missed these misprints, making this unique error bulb a rare, high-value asset that makes this complete, boxed set an incredible find for serious holiday memorabilia collectors.
