Vintage Cast Iron Uncle Sam Mechanical Coin Bank
A wonderful vintage reproduction of the classic 1886 Shepard Hardware Uncle Sam mechanical bank design.
Made of heavy cast iron and beautifully painted, Uncle Sam stands beside his red “U.S.” carpetbag, holding his green umbrella. The base features a raised American eagle and “UNCLE SAM” banner.
The mechanical action is tested and fully functional. Place a coin in Uncle Sam’s hand and press the lever - his arm moves and the carpetbag opens to accept the coin.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition for its age. The painted finish remains remarkably well preserved, with only minor age-appropriate wear. No major damage noted. The mechanism works properly. Please review photos for details.
