Vintage US Military GI Mess Kit Fork Knife UCCO Utica Cutlery Korea Vietnam Era
Vintage U.S. military mess kit fork and knife, both marked “U.S.” on the handles, with the Utica Cutlery “UCCO” maker mark.
These are genuine military-style field utensils with the distinctive oval openings in the handles used with GI mess kits. Based on the UCCO marking and construction, they appear most consistent with the post-WWII/Korean War through Vietnam-era period, likely circa 1950s–1960s, although I cannot confirm an exact production year.
Both pieces show honest service/age wear. The knife has noticeable oxidation, discoloration, and both utensils have scratches and general wear consistent with vintage field equipment. Please review photos closely for condition.
A nice original pair for a militaria collection, GI field gear display, mess kit restoration, reenactor collection, or military history display.
