This specific piece of artwork is known as "The Winners" (often referred to simply as "Two Horse Heads"), painted by the famous Dutch artist Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek II (1873–1944).

The original painting was heavily reproduced as lithograph prints during the mid-20th century. Craft manufacturers and souvenir makers widely utilized these prints to create rustic, decoupage live-edge wood plaques sold at tourist destinations and natural landmarks like Cave of the Mounds.
