Vintage Plumb single bit axe on an Indian Fire brand hickory handle.
- Stamped PLUMB in the box logo
- Weight mark starts with a 3. The second digit is worn and may be a 2, which would make it a 3 1/2 lb head. I can't read it for certain.
- Whole axe weighs 4 lb 9.1 oz on my scale
- 36 in overall length
- Indian Fire handle with part of the original green label still on it
- Head is tight on the handle
- Cutting edge is sharp
Condition: This is an older working axe that has been cleaned up. Both cheeks have pitting from past rust. The poll and bit have been polished bright, and the PLUMB stamp is clear and easy to read. The handle is a replacement with a glossy finish and a worn label. Pitting is cosmetic and shown in the photos.
