Vintage Parker “51” Vacumatic fountain pen with black barrel and hooded nib, estimated to date from circa 1946. Barrel is marked “PARKER ‘51’” and “MADE IN U.S.A.” The date digit appears to be “6.”
Attractive lined cap is marked “1/10 14K GOLD FILLED” and “MADE IN U.S.A.” Features Parker’s blue-diamond arrow clip. Cap jewel and removable rear blind cap are both present.
Cap is in good overall vintage condition, with light surface scratches and minor oxidation on the clip. Black barrel and nib hood show surface scratches and wear consistent with age and use. Please examine all photos closely.
The Vacumatic filling plunger is present beneath the rear blind cap. Filling and writing performance have not been tested, and the internal diaphragm’s condition is unknown. The pen may require servicing or restoration before use. Nib width and gold content have not been independently verified.
