Offered here is an exceptional, rare matching PAIR of vintage Westmoreland white milk glass miniature "Hen on Nest" covered salt cellars / trinket dishes. Please note, the red on one he is slightly darker than the other.
Finding these iconic mid-century miniature pieces individually is common, but locating a complete, perfectly matching pair in this pristine condition is truly rare.
KEY FEATURES & CONDITION:
• PRISTINE GLASS CONDITION: Both pieces are in remarkable, pristine condition with absolutely no chips, cracks, flea bites, or repairs. The inner scalloped rims and basketweave details are completely intact.
• HAND-PAINTED DETAILS: Features original hand-painted red cold-paint details on the combs, wattles, and eyes. Unlike many vintage examples where the paint has washed off or chipped over time, the paint on this pair remains crisp, vibrant, and in pristine condition.
• MAKER'S MARK: One of the dishes features the official Westmoreland Glass Company interlocking "WG" mark (a 'W' overlaid on a 'G') clearly stamped into the interior rim, authenticating its mid-century heritage (circa 1940s–1980s).
• MEASUREMENTS: Approximately 3.5 inches in length across the widest part of the base.
This set makes a beautiful addition to any milk glass, salt cellar, or Westmoreland collection, or a lovely gift for a collector of vintage poultry decor.
