The transparency is bright, with no fading and no dark patches when lit.IMPORTANT: the cord is the original cloth-covered wiring and has not been replaced. Please have it inspected and rewired by a qualified person before plugging it in. I am not representing this lamp as safe to use as-is.The original box is included. It is scuffed and split along one top edge, but complete and printed on all four sides.
