Vintage hand-painted ceramic snail sculpture from Mexico, signed N. Palacios / Mexico on the underside.
Large stylized snail form with deep green, teal and dark blue decoration, dotted body, striped shell and sculptural antennae. The reverse side of the shell features a striking spiral design.
The piece has the distinctive look associated with Tonalá / Jalisco Mexican folk pottery, known for burnished surfaces, stylized animal forms and hand-painted decoration. Exact studio or artist attribution beyond the visible Palacios signature has not been independently verified.
Vintage pre-owned condition with light surface wear and small age-related marks. Please review all photos carefully, especially the antennae and painted surface, for exact condition.
Signed on underside: N. Palacios / Mexico.
Great for collectors of Mexican folk art, Tonalá pottery, vintage animal ceramics, snails or colorful eclectic decor.
