Vintage Lily Brass MCM Candlestick Holders Made in Sweden for Scan Corporation. Fantastic pair of mid-century modern brass lily candlestick holders! The top finish of the lily leaves is brushed while the undersides and top of bottom platform are polished. The bottom of the holders reads: Made in Sweden for SCAN CORPORATION. Height and width are approximately 4 3/4\" x 8 3/4\". These actually have a bit of \"heft\" to them. Green wax candlesticks pictured are not included in this offering.
Please do a brief search on \"Scan Corporation 1960\". I was able to find an entry from an outside source that would indicate the aforementioned candlestick Scan Corporation is not the IT/Computer corporation that is readily hit if you don\'t add \"1960\" in the search criteria. The entry I found offers that they were originally designed in 1939 by Ivar Alenius Bjork and produced in Sweden by Ystad Metall, with each marked the same as these: Made in Sweden for Scan Corporation. This source dated them as 1950s or 1960s which is more in line with other Lily candlestick offerings I\'ve seen. Again, please take this extra step should you be curious. They are quite exquisite and have that vintage look and feel - and are in GREAT condition.These holders are in very good condition. The insides of the candle cavity are clean and do not look to me like they\'ve ever been used. Please see pictures for additional details.
