Lovely gift for the tea connoisseur!
True vintage Gift Set of 2 ceramic pottery tea cups, with strainer and lid. Dark green bamboo design. Original box (does show alittle wear from storage). Markings translate this set was made in Korea.
Beautiful, unused, new, open box, 2 tea cups with diffuser and lid in perfect condition. Please see photos for visual description and measurements.
Google search translate the writing to a traditional poem written in stylized Korean calligraphy (Hangul).
The poetic text written across the center is a famous traditional sijo (Korean poem) by Chon Geum, reflecting on enjoying nature, friendship, and a cup of tea:
청산을 앞에 놓고
Placing the green mountains before me,
As I sip a cup of tea,
All the worries of the world
Seem to melt away into this single cup.
The wind blows by,
Rustling through the bamboo grove,
My mind becomes even clearer,
And nature and I become one.
