Box Made in FranceThe bottle is beautifully finished in glossy black with JOY / JEAN PATOU / PARIS in gold lettering. It retains its distinctive red stopper cover and decorative cord around the neck.Based on its presentation and packaging, this is a wonderful vintage example of Jean Patou JOY from the classic era.JOY is one of the legendary fragrances of the 20th century. Introduced by Jean Patou in 1930, it became famous for being promoted as “the costliest perfume in the world,” reflecting the extraordinary luxury associated with its celebrated rose-and-jasmine composition.Condition:Excellent vintage presentation overall. The bottle remains seated in its original fitted display box and presents beautifully.Because the bottle is opaque black glass, the exact remaining fill level cannot be visually determined without disturbing or opening the bottle, so I am not making a specific claim regarding the amount remaining. I’m aware of it never being open and as a new condition. And it seems full when shaking. Please review the photographs carefully for the exact condition.The original gold presentation box shows normal age-related wear and storage marks, including some wear to the exterior and interior consistent with its vintage age. The bottle itself displays very nicely, with the gold lettering, red stopper cover and neck decoration present.The perfume has not been opened or tested by me. As with any vintage fragrance, the scent may naturally evolve over time. Properly stored Parfum, being the most concentrated fragrance formulation, can remain remarkably well preserved, but the present fragrance character cannot be guaranteed without opening it.A beautiful and increasingly collectible example of Jean Patou JOY pure Parfum, complete with its distinctive black bottle and original fitted presentation box.
