For your consideration, I present this charming vintage collection of Japanese porcelain/ceramic figurines, featuring colorful children and animal subjects. Several pieces are clearly marked “JAPAN” on the underside and display the whimsical hand-painted styling commonly associated with mid-century Japanese decorative ceramics.
The lot includes three larger figural scenes depicting children with farm animals, including lambs/sheep and a duck/goose, along with an adorable spotted puppy figurine and a small reclining animal figure. The pieces feature bright hand-painted colors, floral accents, expressive faces, and glossy glazed finishes. These appear to date approximately from the mid-20th century, likely 1950s–1960s, although the exact manufacturer and date have not been confirmed.
Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related wear, surface marks, paint loss and/or crazing possible.
Please note that the small reclining animal figure has significant damage/loss to the underside/base, as clearly shown in the photographs. There may be additional minor imperfections consistent with age.
Please examine all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the condition description. A wonderful decorative lot for collectors of vintage Japan figurines, mid-century ceramics, nursery décor, animal figurines, or whimsical porcelain collectibles.
Sold together as one lot. You will receive the exact pieces pictured.
