Vintage Japanese Hi-Earth Enamel Advertising Sign – Hiroshi Mizuhara
This is an original-style vintage Japanese enamel advertising sign for Hi-Earth, an insecticide product by Earth Chemical / Otsuka Group.
The sign features Japanese singer Hiroshi Mizuhara (水原弘) wearing traditional Japanese clothing and holding a Hi-Earth insecticide spray can.
The Japanese advertising text reads:
強力殺虫剤 ハイアース
“Powerful Insecticide – Hi-Earth”
This is a distinctive piece of Japanese Showa-era advertising memorabilia featuring a bold yellow, white and red design.
