Vintage Gone With The Wind style hurricane parlor lamp. Hand-painted floral decoration - pink, blue, and yellow blossoms with green foliage — across both the melon-ribbed milk glass body and the matching ruffled scalloped shade. Ornate brass-tone footed base with scrollwork detail and felt pads underneath.
Two-light design: an upper socket under the shade, plus a separate night light inside the glass body that gives the base a warm amber glow.
CONDITION - PLEASE READ:
- The base night light works. Turns on and off correctly with the knob switch, and lights the body beautifully (photos included showing it lit).
- The upper socket does NOT light. Not working, and I have not diagnosed the cause. It may be the socket, the switch, or internal wiring. Sold as-is on that light.
- Glass is in excellent shape - no chips, cracks, or repairs to the shade or body. Hand-painted decoration is bright with no significant paint loss.
- Brass base shows age-appropriate patina and some tarnish/discoloration on the underside, visible in photos. Cord and plug are intact with no fraying or exposed wire observed.
- Because of the non-working socket and its age, I recommend having this inspected or rewired by a qualified person before regular use. Priced accordingly.
- No bulbs included.
A genuinely pretty piece of vintage lighting - an easy fix for anyone comfortable replacing a socket, or a lovely decorative accent as-is with the night light.
