Item DescriptionVintage French Alter Ground Spike Crucifix Metal INRI Church Cross ProcessionalItem Presentation & ConditionUp for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible vintage religious artifact from a traditional French ecclesiastical workshop style lineup. This item is in pristine pre-owned condition, featuring an old-world architectural full-metal crucifix designed with an integrated closed top suspension loop and an elongated, tapering bottom ground stake or shaft rod. Crafted from premium heavy-grade antiqued silver-plated bronze base metal alloy, it beautifully balances solemn historical liturgical utility with a dark Gothic, rustic devotional aesthetic for specialized interior display, home altars, or decorative garden collections. The cast metal body is exceptionally clean, carrying a gorgeous deep-toned age patina with dark charcoal accents highlighting the textured muscle lines of the corpus. The upper beam features sharp hand-stamped block engraving for the traditional Latin INRI title scroll. The distinct elongated bottom rod stem was historically configured for insertion into processional wooden staves, processional handles, altar pricket blocks, or outdoor shrine plots. It is clean, solid, entirely free of structural bends or metal fractures, and stored carefully within a smoke-free environment.Design & Features
