The heavy-gauge brass fuel tank retains an aged gray/silver finish, paired with a substantial burner assembly, adjustable control knob, priming/drip tray, and distinctive red-painted handle.
Marked “C & L” on the control knob and “32A” just above the handle, this is Clayton & Lambert’s No. 32A Mechanic’s Grade/Standard torch, originally designed as a general-purpose gasoline blowtorch for workshop and repair applications. Decades of use and storage have given this example an impressive naturally aged industrial appearance, making it especially appealing for collectors, vintage tool displays, garage or workshop décor, or restoration.

Condition
Vintage pre-owned condition with substantial age-related patina and wear consistent with an old working tool. The gray/silver exterior finish shows significant flaking, peeling, discoloration, scratches, oxidation, and surface wear, revealing areas of the underlying metal. There is visible rust and oxidation on the burner support, priming/drip tray, fittings, hardware, base edge, and other metal components. The red handle retains considerable original color but also has noticeable paint loss, chips, scratches, and wear.
The underside shows considerable finish loss, flaking, discoloration, residue, and oxidation. Burner components also show darkening and residue consistent with previous use. Please review all photos carefully for the exact cosmetic condition and completeness. This torch has not been tested, and no representation is being made regarding its present operating condition or safety. Best suited for collecting, display, restoration, or parts unless professionally inspected before any attempted use.
This C&L 32A has exactly the character collectors look for in an authentic vintage workshop piece.
