Vintage Chodovia Domažlice Czechoslovakia Wooden Lidded Beer Stein / Tankard – BeskydyWonderful vintage wooden beer tankard produced by Chodovia, Domažlice, Czechoslovakia, featuring a colorful burned/pyrography-style BESKYDY mountain landscape.The tall cylindrical wooden body features decorative burned detailing, a substantial angular wooden handle and fitted hinged lid. The rustic folk-art design depicts mountains, evergreen trees and traditional architecture.An especially nice collector’s example because the original Chodovia paperwork remains with the piece, including its vintage instruction sheet and original 42 Kčs price/control tag.According to the original Czech instructions, the interior of the tankard was sealed with brewer’s resin/pitch to make it water resistant, while the exterior was lacquered.Approx. 6¾” tall based on the photographed measurement. Please see photographs for additional dimensions.Condition: Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate cosmetic wear. Interior retains its dark protective coating.
