An exquisite mid-20th century (or earlier) authentic green stone seal chop, hand-carved in the form of a resting animal (resembling a water buffalo) atop a square plinth base. This piece was acquired directly in Asia decades ago and has been carefully preserved in a private family collection. The stone is verified cold to the touch with beautiful natural mottled green, sage, and milky-white inclusions and an excellent polished patina. The bottom base remains completely uncarved/blank, an exceptional find for collectors of Asian scholar objects or someone looking to customize it with their own signet/seal.
