Substantial vintage decorative grape cluster featuring individually shaped stone grapes in smoky purple, gray, and creamy tones, arranged around a curved resin stem. The grapes show variations in color and translucency, with visible parallel working marks and areas of smooth finish. Believed to be alabaster, with an Italian attribution based on comparable examples; no maker or country-of-origin mark has been found.Acquired at a family moving/estate sale. According to the seller, the clusters had belonged to their grandfather. They were stored in a trunk and have been carefully cleaned using a little detergent and water; no wax, oil, or polish was applied. An attractive sculptural accent for a sideboard, dining table, wine cabinet, or decorative fruit arrangement. Pre-owned with surface wear and marks; please examine the detailed photographs.Price is for the single cluster pictured.A complementary second cluster is available separately. Both may be purchased for plus combined shipping while available—please contact me before purchasing to arrange the pair. Around 2lbs each!
