This listing features a highly distinct pair of original, empty vintage wooden storage boxes, each showing a completely different style of craftsmanship. The first is a premium, rich-toned Carlos Toraño Reserva Selecta cedar case complete with a tiny front brass closure latch and a brilliant blue and gold foil brand crest inside the lid. This box features a heavy built-in five-slot wavy timber divider tray inside, making it perfectly laid out for immediate reuse as a fountain pen display case, desktop organiser, or cutlery valet. The second is a rustic Dutch-made La Paz Primeros crate built from raw light-timber slats with corner brace posts, featuring clean black ink-stamped typography and an intact paper seal emblem on the front edge.
Both boxes are structurally sound, square, and clean throughout. The hinges work perfectly, and the wood panels have no splits or structural warping. The exterior surfaces show honest signs of handling and shelf age, including typical light scuffing on the polished panels, a government health warning label on the front of the smooth box, and normal age-toning to the paper seals on the slatted crate. The interiors remain exceptionally tidy and ready for a creative secondary use. Please review the detailed gallery photos to view the handy internal tray slots and the exact cosmetic detailing of this pair.
