Fantastic vintage ARMCO Steel Corporation employee memorabilia and historical archive lot from Middletown, Ohio.
This collection contains material spanning approximately 1960 through 1980 and is particularly interesting because much of it is connected to longtime ARMCO employee Charles S. Eubanks. Rather than being an assortment of unrelated ARMCO pieces, the certificates and training material provide documented employee provenance and a glimpse into ARMCO’s Middletown Works history.
Highlights include an early 1960 ARMCO Steel Corporation apprenticeship certificate documenting completion of a four-year apprenticeship as a Rigger, a later 1979 Armco Inc. apprenticeship certificate for completion of a four-year Welder apprenticeship, employee training/examination papers, ARMCO technical material, a 1975 75th Anniversary participant piece, 1980 blast furnace record playing cards, and an ARMCO presentation bracelet.
The 1975 piece is especially interesting and reads:
“Official Participant
ARMCO Steel Corporation
75th 12, 1975 • Middletown, Ohio”
The playing cards commemorate the Hamilton No. 2 Blast Furnace Yearly Record 1980 – 479,419 Tons and are housed in their plastic case.
Also included is a vintage copy of Short Method of Pattern Development by Ralph W. Poe, published by ARMCO Steel Corporation, Middletown, Ohio.
The ARMCO logo bracelet comes in its presentation box. The bracelet is marked 1/20 12K G.F., indicating 12K gold-filled construction. It features a round ARMCO logo medallion/charm.
This is a very unusual group to find together and would make an excellent addition to an ARMCO collection, Middletown Ohio collection, steel-industry collection, industrial-history archive, or display.
Please examine all photos closely, as the photographs are an important part of the description and show the actual collection you will receive.
