This is a stunning, authentic vintage 1981 limited edition fine porcelain vase titled The Meadowland Butterfly Vase. Designed by the celebrated wildlife artist John Wilkinson for Franklin Porcelain, this elegant baluster-shaped vase was beautifully crafted in Japan. The piece features an incredibly detailed, wraparound illustration of various vibrant American butterfly species flitting amongst purple and pink wildflowers, including wild geraniums and common blue violets. The brilliant white glazed porcelain is accented by a gleaming, intact 24-karat gold trim along both the top rim and the base.
It stands approximately 11 inches tall, measures 6.5 inches at its widest point, and features a top opening diameter of 3.5 inches, making it a spectacular display piece or an ideal showcase for fresh floral arrangements. The bottom is fully backstamped with the official Franklin Porcelain hallmark, the artist's signature, and the creation date. This piece is in exceptional vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or scratches, and the gold gilding remains bright and complete. It is a perfect addition for collectors of fine art pottery, nature enthusiasts, or anyone looking to add a touch of cottage country elegance to their home decor. From pet and smoke free home.
