This is an original vintage blueprint of the German research and survey vessel “Komet”, built in the late 1960s.
The ship was operated by the German Hydrographic Institute and used for ocean research, mapping sea routes, and collecting scientific data. Vessels like Komet played an important role in navigation safety and marine exploration during that era.
This blueprint shows detailed technical layouts of the ship — including deck plans, internal structure, and engineering systems. It’s not a reproduction, but an authentic working drawing from that time, which gives it real historical and collectible value.
The paper has aged naturally over the years, giving it a warm vintage tone with visible wear, creases, and imperfections — all part of its character.
