Original 1962 Ocean City, New Jersey Official Vacation Guide, published by Bolling Publishers and distributed through the City of Ocean City's Department of Public Relations.
A period snapshot of Ocean City and the Jersey Shore at the beginning of the 1960s, filled with photographs, advertisements and information about the city's boardwalk, beaches, hotels, motels, restaurants, amusements and attractions.
Includes period advertising and photographs for numerous Ocean City landmarks and businesses, including The Flanders, Bellevue, Seaside, Vernon Hall, The Alvin, Croft Hall, The Elida, Hotel Hanscom, Impala and Corvette Motels, along with boardwalk scenes, swimming pools, recreation, special events and more.
Of particular historical interest, this guide was issued for the 1962 vacation season, just months after the devastating Ash Wednesday Storm of March 6-8, 1962, which caused extensive damage along the New Jersey coast and in Ocean City.
