Up for sale is a fantastic matching vintage set of 2 original 1952 Presidential Campaign advertising wooden pencils for Dwight D. Eisenhower.
This historic political pair includes two different classic campaign variations:
1. One white pencil featuring the legendary slogan: "I LIKE IKE" in bold blue text with red stripe accents.
2. One white pencil featuring the text: "EISENHOWER for PRESIDENT" with a stylized red "E".
Condition & Historic Factory Details:
Both pencils are completely unsharpened and unused old stock. They retain their original gold-toned metal ferrules and authentic vintage erasers, which have naturally hardened and darkened due to age. Notably, the tips of BOTH pencils still retain their matching original vintage paper retail/manufacturing bands from "THE F.W. ROBERTS CO." displaying a No. 2 lead grade and an original "5¢" price marking.
The litho campaign graphics and text on the wooden barrels remain crisp, bright, and 100% legible, showing only minor light surface wear/toning from long-term storage as clearly displayed in the high-resolution photos.
Quantity:
- Set of 2 matching campaign pencils.
The pair will be packed flat and securely between thick layers of protective cardboard inside a padded mailer to guarantee they arrive safely without any bending or snapping during transit. Ships with tracking.
