**Item:** Vintage Max Factor Hollywood \"Pan-Stik\" New Cream-Type Make-Up Counter Display**Era:** Circa 1948–1949**Celebrity Featured:** Janis Carter (Columbia Pictures Star)**Material:** Heavy lithographed die-cut cardboard with fold-out easel back stand.
**Description:**Up for sale is an incredibly rare and beautiful piece of golden-age Hollywood vanity history. This authentic 1940s Max Factor countertop advertisement features a stunning color portrait of actress Janis Carter endorsing the landmark release of \"Pan-Stik\" foundation. The graphic includes a large, deep red background disc highlighting the product catchphrases and realistically illustrates two early Pan-Stik containers—noting the original $1.50 retail price.
True store counter displays of this caliber are extraordinarily hard to find compared to standard paper magazine advertisements, as most were discarded by shopkeepers when campaigns changed.
**Condition Notes:*** **Front:** In beautiful vintage condition. Colors remain brilliantly bold, deep, and glossy. The portrait of Janis Carter is incredibly crisp. Very light edge wear consistent with a 75+ year-old cardboard piece.* **Reverse:** Shows an authentic, clean patina with very minimal age spotting. The original cardboard easel backing/strut is perfectly intact, structurally sound, and folds out easily to allow the sign to stand independently.
An absolute must-have for collectors of vintage vanity items, Max Factor history, cosmetic memorabilia, or 1940s cinema history!
🌟 MATCHING COMPANION PIECE AVAILABLE! 🌟I am also listing a separate, matching 1940s Max Factor Pan-Stik counter display featuring [Marguerite Chapman / Evelyn Keyes].
