Vintage 1910s 50s American Family Lot 4 Photos 2.25x3.5-3x5.25 B&W Gelatin Orig
Original vintage early-to-mid-20th-century American family photographs on paper, offered as a lot of four snapshot and portrait views.
One larger studio portrait shows a seated woman in a light blouse and darker dress with necklace, posed sideways in a chair with her elbow resting on the chair back and her hand at her temple, set against a soft painted backdrop. This image is printed as a real-photo postcard on cardstock with a standard POST CARD back layout.
A second tall print pictures three girls or young women standing on rocks at a shoreline in light dresses and cardigans, grouped in front of a large boulder with water and distant land stretching into the background.
Another black-and-white snapshot captures a lively indoor gathering of older family members or friends around a dining table, with men in shirts and ties and women in dresses seated and standing close together, laughing and smiling, glasses and a bottle visible on the table and a framed landscape painting hanging on the wall behind them.
The smallest print is an interior portrait of a smiling young man in a dark suit and bow tie seated in an upholstered chair, with a table lamp and patterned drapery partly visible along the edge of the frame.
The photographs are black-and-white gelatin-silver prints on paper and postcard-weight stock, unmounted and unframed. Backs include a divided POST CARD design on the seated-woman portrait, plain photo-paper backs on the shoreline trio and bow-tie portrait, and a simple stamped code reading 818A on the dinner-group snapshot.
A handwritten reference slip pictured with the group reads \"Vintage American Family Life Set of 4 photos ≈ 1910s - 1950s ≈ 3\" x 5.25\" ≈ 3\" x 4.5\" ≈ 2.25\" x 3.5\"\" as an approximate dating and size guide.
Actual Measurements: ≈ 3\" x 5.25\", ≈ 3\" x 4.5\", ≈ 2.25\" x 3.5\".
Condition: Original vintage early-to-mid-20th-century American family snapshot and portrait photographs on paper with typical handling and storage wear from age and use. Image surfaces show age toning, scattered small marks, and faint surface scuffs. The seated-woman real-photo postcard has multiple horizontal and vertical creases, edge and corner chips with loss at the lower left, and short edge tears. The shoreline trio print and the interior dinner-group snapshot display light handling wear with slight corner softening and minor edge bends but no paper loss. The small bow-tie portrait shows a small nick along the upper edge and light surface wear. Backs carry a stamped numeric code 818A on the dinner-group print, a standard POST CARD layout on the portrait postcard, and otherwise plain photo-paper backs.
