Description

This black Snorkel Valiant Set has no defects. It looks beautiful and writes great. It was restored from an excellent original set with very few signs of use. The original ensemble tag and instructions leaflet are present.

This is a very late production model with imprint on the cap above the band (photo) rather than on the barrel.

The mechanical pencil is also excellent. It has a new eraser and 3 extra leads in the storage area. It propels and retracts as designed.

This Version of the Snorkel

Sheaffer\'s Snorkel Valiant is a White Dot model featuring a 14k gold Triumph nib with palladium silver mask. Other premium features include a 3/8\" gold-filled cap band and a gold-filled, spring-loaded clip.

All restorations include

  • disassembly, thorough cleaning,

  • replacement of all seals and the sac,

  • smoothing and adjusting the nib,

  • filling the pen with ink (not just dipping) and producing multiple writing samples over 2 days (like the ones in the photos).
