The central focal point features an incredibly detailed Wild duck and marshland motif, carefully brought to life through elegant white-on-white embroidery (whitework). The scenic pattern depicts mallard ducks in mid-flight and gliding over a wetland marsh, complete with hand-stitched reeds, grass tufts, and delicate wild floral stalks. The entire vignette is framed by a gorgeous geometric lace border, intricate openwork inserts, and finished with a soft gathered ruffle trim. The pillowcase is unlined, measures 13" x 12" for the pillow space, and is finished with approximately 2.5" of ruffles around it. The reverse side features a beautifully tailored, traditional slit style closure designed to securely hold the pillow insert in place. The closure fastens gracefully with two small, buttons sewn onto a reinforced, narrow border.
