This is an 18" long wood bowl with Haida form line designs and crosshatching along with shell inlay. From a Seattle area estate, we believe it was collected in the 1970s. The designs are very traditional and the inlay work is fine. We believe it was painted black to appear like the famous Haida argillite carvings. It was carefully done...a fine example of northwest coast First Nations folk art. See pics. Email questions.
