A finely presented collector-made reproduction of the Grand Cross Breast Star of The Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George.
This elaborate star represents the insignia associated with the Order's Knight Grand Cross / Dame Grand Cross (GCMG) grade, combining brilliant silver-tone rays, contrasting gold-tone rays, the red Cross of St George and richly detailed blue enamel work.
GRAND CROSS DESIGN
The GCMG breast star is immediately recognizable by its elaborate multi-rayed construction. Silver-tone starburst rays are interspersed with contrasting gilt-tone rays, giving the piece a particularly rich ceremonial appearance.
At the centre is the traditional St Michael design surrounded by blue enamel detailing and the historic motto:
