Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki Manga
Complete 12-volume Hitoshi Okuda
Publisher: Kadokawa Shoten
This manga from Okuda is based on the Ryo-Ohki version of Tenchi, it isn't a panel-for-panel adaptation of the OVA. It develops its own story, while attempting to maintain the character and setting concepts established by the Tenchi creators.
The manga starts after the events familiar from the early anime. One of its early major plots involves Ryoko encountering Minagi, followed by the appearance of Yakage, who becomes a major antagonist. The story then develops considerably beyond the initial anime material.
