Spectacular RARE 'Fairistytch' Bouquet Flowers/BeesHand Embroidered Tablecloth
'Fairistytch' Designs are the Pinnacle, Crowning point of Hand Embroidery
- Rare and hard to find.
I have for sale a Spectacularand super RARE early design"Fairistytch" Vintage Hand Embroidered Tablecloth, which shows a double of flowers to the original design, so your lucky day :) This amazing piece of history has a huge bouquet of plump mixed flowers with two bees hovering above, to two diagonal sides. Flowers are just amazing and plump (two of each larger flowers to the original design), which include coral Gladioli, Yellow, dull orange Dahlias,dull gold yellow Montbretia, also known as Crocosmia, blue/yellow and blue cerise Columbines, also known as Aquilegia, purple Heliotropeand pale yellow Bachelors buttons or cornflowers. The bumble bees are gorgeous too with striped bodies and iridescent effect wings in blues & teals - so outstanding :) Skilfully Hand embroidered using an abundance of different tight neat stitches on alight cream quality linen, with a small light cream hand crochet quality edge -so Glorious :)
The reverse is as neat as the front with all cottons tied off, which shows the skill of the needleworker, oh such a fabulous piece of history for you to have xx
- just Amazing and very collectable, this design is not very common - I have never seen another :)
Note; I have a passion for 'Fairistytch' designs, these finished pieces are considered the highest pinnacle of Hand embroidery.I have collected the designbooklets andlots oftable linens over many, many years - but I find that my research and style have been copied by other sellers - even copying and pasting my own descriptions! :(
From now on I will not be including a copy of the pattern from my booklet in my listing as proof of the design as I normally would.

ExcellentVintage Condition - looks and feels unused.
There are a couple of very very faint teeny tiny marks that should come out with another wash, nothing to detract from this amazing cloth, you can hardly see them and only mentioned for completed honesty.
Measurements: 109cm sq or 43 inches sq

‘Fairistytch’ was a company Est. 1919 by T.F. Beckett of Scotland. They sold a full range of traced linens, threads and more, for needle/craft-persons to make.
‘Fairistytch’ was a very popular brand, and were sold in retail outlets in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
~ These finished pieces are considered the highest pinnacle of Hand embroidery to own and collect. So,I find these amazing pieces of History, and 'bring them back to life', to share with you :)

I think about the person who has spent so many hours making such beautiful creations ~ it truly is a lost art. These gorgeous 'Linen Treasures' are getting very hard to find! ~ so I gather them to offer to you :) They are washed and lightly pressed, ready to use in your home, gift or your own collection :)
