Strip the color out of a McFarlane cover and you find out how much of it was always the linework. Six SPAWN black and white sketch covers, every one of them a different cover. SPAWN #293, line art on white with full trade dress, McFarlane and Jason Shawn Alexander. Then four separate B&W sketch variants of the milestone SPAWN #300 at $7.99: the J. Scott Campbell stained-glass cover, the mirrored-logo McFarlane, the greyscale 'Spawn 300 / History Making' cover, and the Capullo and McFarlane 'Three' cover signed in plate by both. Closing with SPAWN #301, the record-breaking issue, in the B&W sketch cover with the grey and white logo — note this one carries no printed cover price on the front, which is how the sketch edition shipped. All six are clean and came out of the collection bagged and boarded. From a single long-held collection. Please judge each from the photos. Ships bagged and boarded in a rigid mailer, tracked. Smoke-free home.
