Vintage 1970s hand-tooled hammered three-dimensional raised relief copper wall art sculpture depicting a wild boar or javalina in a desert landscape with cactus. Signed on the front and back by San Antonio, Texas, artist Slim Rustin, known as the Texas Roadrunner, and dated 1974. Rustin is best known for his roadrunners; this wild pig form is very rare.
The artwork is in very nice vintage preowned condition; the wood frame has some edge wear. About 18" x 13". Weighs nearly 4 pounds. Made of sheets of copper on the front and back with some kind of filler in the middle to support the raised surfaces of the art.
