Bring a little Dickensian charm to your holiday display with this large, hand-painted 1991 Sheila's Collectibles wood shelf sitter, depicting the snow-dusted Butcher and Toy Shops in London. Included is the 1989 Byers Choice Shopping Man.
At 12" x 21.5", this substantial piece is exactly the scale Byers' Choice Carolers collectors look for as a backdrop to frame their figures during Christmas displays, with icicle-draped eaves, a glowing window candle, smoking chimney, Christmas goose and toys, add real depth behind a caroler grouping. True to Sheila's signature two-layer construction, the hand-cut detail front sits over a solid painted backing, with the artist's signature and 1991 date hand-lettered on the reverse. Stands on its own via the integrated pine-tree cutout base.
