The Hinderer XM Slippy is a slip joint style folder that allows Hinderer quality and design to be used in areas that don't allow locking blade or for those that prefer the simplicity of the slip joint design. Similar in size to the XM-18 3" the XM Slippy delivers the ergonomics and performance we've come to expect from Hinderer. An additional feature is the optional adjustable thumb disc which allows each user to customize their opening experience for one- or two-handed operation.This Vintage Series XM Slippy Spear Point comes with a stonewashed, Parkerized Black O1 tool steel blade, Battle Green titanium liners and clip and smooth Walnut wood handle scales.Blade: The three-inch Spear Point blade opens smoothly on nylon washers using the blade groove for two-hand opening or the optional adjustable thumb stud for one-hand operation. The O1 Tool Steel blade delivers good edge retention and toughness while the Parkerized finish is discreet and corrosion resistant, hiding wear thanks to a heavy tumble. A generous forward finger choil offers multiple grip options and optimal control of the blade during use.Handle: Full titanium liners have a matching Battle Green Finish (anodized green Working Finish) that is rugged with a classic visual appeal paired with the handsome Smooth Walnut scales. Made from stainless steel, the back spring is working finished and chamfered and offers a solid slip joint operation as well as protecting the blade when closed. Bronze anodized titanium hardware rounds out the construction.Carries via a reversible, right-hand only titanium pocket clip.O1 Tool Steel: Popular as a forging steel O1 tool steel is used by custom and production makers alike.
